Article 1: Core Principles (The "Como Commitments")
Chatham House Rule Supremacy: Unless a session is explicitly designated as “on the record,” or has photo/video operators in the room, all information shared is for attribution-blind learning. In such case, you may use insights, but not reveal speaker identity or affiliation. Breach of this rule is grounds for immediate expulsion.
Intellectual Property & Non-Disclosure: Do not record, photograph, or transcribe private sessions without explicit written consent. Respect preliminary, unreleased data. Treat all business presentations as privileged information.
Personal & Professional Respect: Harassment, intimidation, aggressive lobbying, or any form of discrimination is a zero-tolerance offense
Article 2: Prohibited Conduct Beyond standard harassment policies, the following are strictly forbidden:
Corporate Espionage Lite: Attempting to extract proprietary data, unreleased financial data, or unreviewed regulatory strategy under false pretenses.
Aggressive Networking: Cornering a speaker, interrupting a closed group discussion or a meal, or using access credentials to stalk or pressure another attendee.
Weaponized Anonymity: Using pseudonymous badges, recording devices, or AI wearables (e.g., smart glasses with recording).
Influence Peddling: Offering gifts exceeding €500 in value, or seeking exclusive access, policy positions, or investment terms.
Physical & Environmental Safety: Operating drones over conference airspace or grounds, tampering with AV or security systems, or any action endangering the historic villa.
Article 3: Digital & Communications Conduct
Verified Identity Only: Your registration name must match your legal ID on file. "Observation only" guests have no speaking rights.
No Social Media Warfare: Do not livestream, quote out of context, or name-call other attendees publicly. Use the official WTC’s feedback channels for disputes.
Phishing & Social Engineering: Attempting to deceive others into revealing login credentials or private contacts is a criminal offense and will be reported to Italian authorities.Article 4: Reporting & Enforcement How to Report
In person: WTC Ombudsperson (WTC Silver pin).
Emergency: Dial 112 (Italian emergency) then inform security.
Article 5: Venue & Lake Como Specifics.
Historic Property Protocol: No food or drink in the frescoed halls of the Villa. No leaning on or touching 18th-century artworks.
Sustainable Luxury: Reusable water bottles only (refill stations provided). Please use the ferry shuttle system—private water taxis cause wakes that erode the shoreline.
Health Safety: If you test positive for COVID-19 or other contagious illness, attend remotely.
Article 6: Post-Conference Accountability
All sessions are ethically audited. If, within 30 days post-conference, evidence emerges that an attendee materially misrepresented a deal, violated a signed NDA, or committed fraud discussed at WTC, the Code applies retroactively for banning and public disclosure of the violation (excluding private data).
Agreement
By registering for and/or attending the 5th Session of the World Technology Congress, you acknowledge that:
You have read and will abide by this Code.
You consent to reasonable security screening (bag checks).
You waive no legal rights but agree that the WTC organising Committee has sole discretion over immediate safety decisions.
